These will be what country/character a delegation’s member will be representing in a specific committee. It is expected that the delegate attempt to realistically represent their assigned country. This includes writing their position paper from their assigned country’s perspective.
For committee assignments, delegations will be given a set number of committees, preferably one delegate from a team per committee available. KnightMUN XVIII will have no double delegates in any of its committees, unless the committee is a specified double delegation on the committee preference form.
After delegations have submitted the initial registration form, the contact listed on the form will receive a separate form for committee preferences with instructions for completion. Please fill this out completely so we can make accurate accommodations.
All assignments for countries and committees are released on a rolling basis. Preference is in turn made on the basis of how early your delegation registers for KnightMUN XVII. The sooner, the better. There are no guarantees for preferences but we will do our best to accommodate all of our delegations.
Using a credit card:
Credit card payments will occur via PayPal invoice, which will be sent to the email provided in the registration form shortly after submission. Credit card payments must be made no later than 1 month from the date the invoice is sent. Unlike checks, credit card payments for registration cannot be made at the conference. It is preferred that delegations pay via credit card unless your district or supervisor requires otherwise.
Writing a Check:
Using a check is only acceptable if paying via credit card is not permitted by your school district or supervisor. Delegations paying with check should issue a check to “United Nations Association at the University of Central Florida” and deliver that check to the conference during the check-in, unless otherwise communicated by the secretariat.
Single Invoice Policy:
Multiple invoices will not be made to delegates within a delegation. One advisor from a delegation is responsible for a single collective payment fulfilling the costs stated in the registration invoice. In other words, one invoice per delegation. This policy only applies to credit card payments.
Prices and Fees
Delegation and Delegate Fees:
The delegate fee of $40 ($45 if late) is the price of each individual delegate within a delegation, in addition to the delegation fee of $20 ($30 if late). The delegation fee applies to all delegations of 2 or more delegates (1 delegation fee per delegation).
In order to receive the early registration discount, delegations must apply before 11:59 PM on Friday, September 1st, 2019. The late registration follows, from September 2nd,12:00 AM, to October 5th, 11:59 PM. Registration is closed thereafter unless otherwise communicated.
A full refund will be granted to the delegation for dropped delegates only if the drop occurs and is communicated via email to the KnightMUN Secretariat by September 29th. No refund is available thereafter. Delegates that were added and then dropped are considered dropped delegates like any normal delegate.
If a delegation chooses to withdrawal from the conference entirely, a full refund will be granted only if the withdrawal occurs and is communicated via email to the KnightMUN Secretariat before October 1st.
